Improving Economic Prosperity is a core corporate ambition for East Lindsey District Council. The aim of the Councils Economic Development Unit is to work with all sections of the community to develop an aspirational climate for positive change in East Lindsey. We plan to achieve this through the continued support, promotion and development of a sustainable economy.

European Regional Development Fund
 
The European Regional Development Fund was set up 1975 to stimulate economic development in the least prosperous regions of the European Union (EU). As EU membership has grown, the ERDF has developed into a major instrument for helping to redress regional imbalances. The department of Communities and Local Goverment manages the ERDF in England.

East Midlands Development Agency
 
East Midlands Deveopment Agency (EMDA) is ine of nine Regional Development Agencies in England set up in 1999 to bring a regional focus to economic development. EMDA's vision is that by 2020 the East Midlands will be a flourishing region. A region made up of growing and innovative businesses.
